Shingle The areas in which wood shingles can be used grow day by day: Family homes, weekend houses, sheds, and summer homes are covered with this product. The wood shingles are not only used on the roof, but as siding material, too, as its insulation properties far exceed that of tile, hence in the summer our homes stay cool, while in the winter they stay warm. The shingles are made of a natural material, which provides a pleasant sight in any setting. Split or cut shingles? Shingles cut with a saw leave the grain exposed allowing water to seep in reducing the quality and lifespan of the wood. The shingles sold by our firm are all hand-made using the splitting method, which serves to make them more weather-resistant. Our shingles are made from spruce, an easy-to-work-with soft wood, using the splitting method, making them weather resistant.
